From the George Carlin Quote of the Day Calendar, July 29, 2006:

I was reading a fitness magazine that had an article about cross-training, and I realized this would have been a good idea for Jesus.

“I am deeply ashamed of everything I said, and I apologize to anyone who I have offended,” said the Oscar-winning actor and film director.

There was no explanation what statements Gibson was referring to, and the sheriff’s department declined to offer any clarification.

But tmz.com, a celebrity website, posted what its claims to be a report by the arresting officer, which alleges Gibson behaved in a rowdy manner and unleashed a barrage of profane anti-Semitic statements during his arrest.

According to the report, the actor referred to “fucking Jews,” adding that “the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.”

So I’m sitting down after my workout, trying to find the energy to finish this post I’ve been working on, eating a can of CostCo chicken and I click on the History Channel, cause I loves me some History Channel.  The program Wild West Tech is on.  I hit the little Info button, and this is what it says:

“Frontier brothels are a hotbed of illegal activity and a breeding ground for criminals.”

So I have this mean phobia of salad forks.  I mean I have really big hands, right, and the salad fork just doesn’t fit right in there.  It’s kind of a skeevy feeling.  Did I just make up a word?  Maybe.  Who the fuck cares?  Anyway, I have this revulsion to the salad fork.  Every time I reach into the silverware drawer and pull one out, I get this physical reaction of disgust.

Fucked up, huh?

Anyway, I don’t think it is nearly as bad a my friend King Tonga’s complete and irrational fear of blue ink.  Or, the Yow Christ’s fear of nuns.  Those guys are fucked up.  Me, I just have a silverware issue.

Who, when confronted by a 37 letter blogger verification, purposefully puts in the wrong answer until I get a really short one?

In case no one’s been paying attention, all Hell is breaking loose in the Middle East.

I, for one, am shocked.

You know what I’ve been waiting for?  I’ve been waiting for an Israeli leader to bust out this little nugget of irony:  “We are protecting our borders and our people.  This operation is going to last a long time.  We are witnessing the beginning of the final solution of the Lebanese question.”
