This just reminded me… I was pretty torn up when Mitch Hedberg died. The day after, I was in the aforementioned record store and a kid working there told me that once when Mitch was entertaining at IUP, he had been recruited to drive him from the airport to the college and told me what a great guy he was.
I wonder if there is a special heaven for really funny people?

‘Tis sad indeed… SNL did an airing last night of the show he hosted in 1975, was cool. Andy Kaufmann was on there too, miming “Here I come to save the day…”
Hey, I hang in Indiana pretty often, my favorite record store (Backstreet Records) is there. I’ve never seen George there, tho.
